Late afternoon me and Chipper had to go to McKinney for some impotant bidness. In early evening we needed to go to a Christmas performance in which Big Guy and CBoss were performing (Lil' Darling has the flu and couldn't perform) . So we needed to do some dinner somewhere in between McKinney and Richardson. After some discussion it came down to Twisted Root in Richardson or Chuy's in Plano. We like both a lot. The Twisted Root in Richardson just doesn't have the ambiance that the one in Deep Ellum on Commerce. Also, soon we will be going downtown weekly for some bidness and will have many chances to eat at the Root. So Chuy's won out for tonight. This Chuy's is not exactly the same as the original on Barton Creek Rd in Austin, but it has a lot of the same look. They also have Jalapeno Ranch dipping sauce.
So going through Plano, we did a belly dance over to Chuy's. So we bellied on into Chuy's and let the eating begin. Of course we were immediately served chips and salsa. Now Chipper first thing ordered Jalapeno Ranch sauce. If you haven't had JR, then you need to drag your bellie to Chuy's and get some. It's scrumptious. The chips are very thin and real crispy. I like em. Put some JR on a chip and get out of my way. It's chomping time.
I ordered Tex-Mex Enchiladas. This is two cheese enchiladas with red sauce over them, rice and beans. The cheese enchiladas are better than most cheese enchiladas. They have a good tasting cheese and the right amount of oñion. You know Mitcho likes oñion The red sauce has a powerful spicy taste and have onion in it. So overall this is a spicy tasty meal. Get you some.
Givn Chuy's a 8.18.
