Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner - Talihina, OK

The judge finally released me from house arrest. I am free, I am free. Our first outing was checking out the Ouachita National Forest. You never know when you might need a  hideout (I told the Judge I would never do THAT again, but you never know for sure), still location, and various other needs when on the run. So we did the Stanky Legg up to Big Cedar, Ok. The highlight of this trip is the drive from Talihina to Mena, AR. If you haven't made this drive, get your self up off your mother-in-laws couch and get going.

Of course when dinner time comes, we check out all of the options in the area. A self-respecting redneck can't go wrong going to a diner named the Hateful Hussy. This is the number one rated restaurant in Talihina, OK. Of course the competition isn't overly tough. So we decided to try Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner. I will say most of the townfolk think this is the best place also, as there was a decent crowd.

I had a hankering for some chicken fried steak. You can get a pretty good idean of a eating joint by the CFS. So we ordered the chicken fried steak with a salad and mashed taters. No roll. The roll probably would have been the best of this meal.

The salad was tomatoes and lettuce, nothing else to give it variety. Come on, add something to give it a life. The ranch dressing looked more like mayonnaise and didn't taste as good. So as you can tell not impressed with the salad.

We bet the mashed taters were a box mix. After adding a good amount of salt and pepper they were almost decent. How about a real tater next time.

Now to the chicken fried steak. I am just guessing I look like Pam's first husband and there was bad blood at the end. This was the toughest CFS I have had in a long while. This meat must have worked out at the Wild Man's gym across the street and is the toughest in town. The breading wasn't bad, but the meat was tough. I am going to shave next time I go there so I don't look like the first husband.
