Razzoos - Mesquite Cat Fish

So the other night (I have been busy holding down the couch the last day or two), the wifey decided we needed to eat cat fish for dinner, but the weather was bad and she didn't want to drive to Forney to Doe Belly's. So she decided that we would try the cat fish at Razzoos. Now Razzoos is a Cajon kitchen. So we did the jitterbug to Razzoos.

When the waiter came to take our order, the wifey asked if the cat fish was cajon spicey. The waiter did not understand what she was asking. I mean this is a cajon restaurant. You would think he would speak cajon spicey!!!!! So we ordered the Fried Cat Platter and she requested it be spicey. Well that was a waste of time. When the food came, the catfish was just normal cat fish. If we had never eaten at Doe Belly's this fish probably would rate decently, but the stakes are much higher now that Doe Belly's is around. Not a drop of spice on the catfish. It was breaded nicely and had a decent flavor, but I want a Molotov cocktail in my mouth. Not going to happen here.

What's real interesting to this is the fries were spiced up nicely with a cajon spice and the hushpuppies were jalapeno hushpuppies. So why can't the fish be cajon spice?

Oh well, next time we want catfish we will drive to Forney and get the best. As for Razzoos we still enjoy the Andouille/Red Beanz N Rice, it is cajon spicey. And don't forget the fried pickles., these are the best we have had.

Givem a 7.2518 on the cat fish.
