5 Guys Burgers -Rapid City, SD

Me, the wifey and double digits was just slightly north of east Dallas in Rapid City, SD spending a week surveying and getting to know rednecks in the area. You know there are rednecks all over the US, there are just more in the South. So the South Dakota redneck is part cowboy and part redneck. I am not really sure where one ends and the other begins, but they still whittle, spit, pass gas and hop freights. So while there we toured some failed gold mines, watched a cowboy fast draw contest and other good redneck activities.

Eating while traveling with Double Digits is very interesting. He could eat pizza 3 meals a day and the wifey does not want to eat pizza. His only fallbacks are hamburgers and hot dogs. So our food was very limited in types. Sounds like a good redneck for the future. We did the hand jive over to 5 Guys Burgers.

We were on the Hamburger action and chose 5 Guys, when Digits said that they had a great Hot Dog. It was really good. So there was nothing I could do, but dog it up. Their hot dog is a very tasty and large brat on a normal bun. They also have a long list of items you can add to the hot dog, just like their hamburgers. So you can have it your way. Of course I loaded mine with mustard, relish, onions, jalapeno's, etc. This dog was DOG GONE good.

We also ordered Cajun fries. This is always interesting as even Cajun restaurants sometimes don't know what Cajun means. These fries were really loaded with Cajun spices. I mean they were almost orange there was so much on them. Man these were some really good fries.

So the bottom line, the dog and fries were both very good.
