The wifey had one of those tests done today that everyone over 50 must do, but hates. So she got to pick our dinner site tonight. So went right for the throat with Panera Bread. Now no self respecting redneck would be seen driving by a Panera Bread much less going in. Now for the most part, this is girly food. But sometimes a redneck has to make the wifey happy. So here we go.
I had to study the menu closely to find something I wouldn't be ashamed of.
I settled on the Thai Chicken Flatbread. Chicken, cilantro, jalapeno hummus (whatever that is), napa cabbage blend, and cilantro with peanut sauce and low-fat Thai vinaigrette on flatbread.
I was pleasantly surprised. This was some good grub. I liked the flatbread and the sauce was very good. Not that I intend to hangout here, but I have found my meal when I do.
To top it off, they offered us a pastry with our meal for 99 cents. So I ordered a cinnamon roll. These things are very large, loaded with cinnamon and plenty of icy. I spread butter on mine and microwaved it. So yeah, very tasty. They normally are 2.99 and are worth that, but at 99 cents a redneck just says "Oh yeah".
I hate to admit it, but overall, this was a good meal. Giv'm an 8.0.
